Murder of Crows
Original batik on Indonesian cotton 700 mm x 700 mm in ash wood frame
Inspired by a 17th century Mughul painting. I took inspiration from an ancient painting of rooks and transformed it into a murder of crows, my favourite loud , naughty birds. I’m very fond of this batik as I used the traditional method of cracking the wax and dipping the whole batik in to a bath of dye. Always a gamble, but it worked out a treat.
Signed editioned giclee prints printed on archival 280 gm cotton paper.
